Residence and Meal Plan Information

Staying at Mary E. Keyes

  • The L.E.A.P. students will be accommodated in Mary E. Keyes which is 1 of 12 residences on campus and also one of the newest! This residence features apartment-style suites containing 4 individual bedrooms each, a common area and a kitchenette. L.E.A.P. students have the benefit of being in close proximity to each other while still getting the privacy of a single bedroom.

Arrival and Check-Out

Check-in dates for each 2017 session are the following:

- Please arrive at the Mary E. Keyes residence between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on your specific check-in date.
- The counsellors who will be staying in residence throughout the duration of L.E.A.P. will be on site to greet students as they arrive.
- Students will check out by removing their belongings from their rooms before class on the final Friday of their L.E.A.P. session. These will be stored in an alternate locked room and can be picked up by the students upon dismissal from L.E.A.P. at 4 pm.

- If a student is registered for multiple sessions, the check in date will be that of the earlier session and check out that of the later session.

Extracurricular activities will include a sample of the following:

  • Climbing McMaster's Alpine Tower.
  • Movie Nights
  • Laser Tag at Lazermania.
  • Bowling at the University Lanes Bowling Alley.
  • Mini-putting at Adventure Village.
  • Exploring the Science Centre

Dining out at delicious eateries like East Side Mario’s and Boston Pizza.

  • Watching the Blue Jays Baseball Game at Rogers Centre.
  • Visiting Canada’s Wonderland.
  • Spending an exciting day in Toronto.
  • Visiting Niagara Falls
  • Much more!

 

Please note: students will be responsible for the transportation and activity fee.

Meal Plan

Each resident student has the option to purchase a meal plan for an additional fee set out below.

McMaster University has a variety of dining options for all dietary needs and restrictions, including vegetarian! Food items may be brought in by the student to be stored, cooked/prepared within the suites’ kitchens. Meal cards, cash or debit card can be used for purchasing food or beverages of choice at any of the campus & off-campus food venues that accept meal cards: Boston Pizza, Eastside Mario's, Gino's Pizza, Basilique, Pizza Pizza and Twelveighty.

Important note about meal cards: If the total dollar amount is used up before the end of the registered session, the student is responsible for notifying parents that additional meal funds are needed. If a balance remains on the original credit, L.E.A.P. regrets that it cannot offer any refunds.
